Yay,
So everything was working fine on my PS3 until today. About 2 hours after watching FMA I popped in a BluRay to discover that my PS3 no longer has the ability to read discs. After 2 hours of self trouble shooting I called Sony and went through the check list to confirm what I already feared... dead BD Drive.

So off to pull my receipts to find that I actually purchased the damned thing in 2007, so I'm out of warranty. Oh well, they will fix it anyway, but for a price. After filling out all my forms online, I have found out that Sony charges $119.00 for out of warranty repairs. SUCK!!!! That's like 1/3 the price of the whole system (and mind you the new ones actually come with MORE HDD space and features?!?) So, I'm waiting for my RMA number, but really wondering if I should just buy a new PS3?

I mean, this REALLY sucks because I planned on buying Heavy Rain tomorrow. Now... nothing. This has really just made my day. Anyway - my issue is about as common as the 3 red lights for the 360, so everyone keep your systems spotless.

SAD FACE.

And here I was... starting to think I had made the wrong decision which game system I purchased.

Whatever. It's going to get fixed and I'll be able to play heavy rain and your stuck with Dragon Age as your console's best RPG. (Well you do have Fallout 3, but still, you know you want Heavy Rain.)

I'm trying to figure out a way to rephrase "Heavy Rain" to make it sound like "Golden Showers."
The closest I 've come up with so far is "Gordo Showers."

By the way, Chubby Rain is a Bowfinger reference.

I haven't seen much about Heavy Rain until recently, it looks like a pretty interesting game. However, there are a few others I want to pick up first (Batman, Saw, Bioshock 2, Prototype, Infamous) and I still haven't played a couple that I already have all the way through (Wolverine, Legendary, DLC for Fallout 3).

Back on topic, my PS3 has not had any problems yet. We have a stand-alone DVD player that we use for normal DVDs, so the PS3 only gets used for Blu-Rays, games, and streaming stuff from my PC. Hopefully it will last us a long time.

I'm pretty confident that though I'm having the most common problem for PS3's, it's not that common for them to screw up in the first place. I'm even sure that once they fix it, I'll probably never have a problem again. That is if I can get them to freaking respond to my damned RMA request. So far their customer service is like pulling teeth.

So I got it back. Playing Heavy Rain. This is the single most brilliant game I have EVER played in my life.
I actually feel like my choices are altering these characters lives.

Sadly I think I am playing TOO thorough. I have managed to unlock almost 12 bonus scenes already.
