He appeared in books written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. A couple of different settings. One was Dragonlance - Fizban, one was The Deathgate Cycle - Zifnab, and lastly (quick research) The Starshield novels - I'm guessing you meant Zanfib instead of Banfiz. I'm personally a fan of Zifnab. Though I've never read the Starshield book in which Zanfib appears. Tough call though, seeing as the characters are so similar. Though according to Tracy Hickman, they are not the same character. I'm guessing he has to say that seeing as he and Margaret Weis only own two of the three, Fizban being owned by TSR ( probably now WOC ). |

He also has a brief appearance in Tymora's Luck, by Kate Novak & Jeff Grubb. They're not sure what his name is, but they think it might be Fizban. |

See... I never read a single one of the books with this character... However, from what I've heard others say, Zifnab is the one that forgot that it's a god and has therefore gone crazy. So I like that one, based on that statement. Because I think it's rad. A god-with-alzheimer's is like totally badass. Almost as badass as a Ranger-with-Allergies... |

Zifnab is not actually a god just a Sartan that has been chosen by one of the dragon avatars of the Gates. Still did the whole going crazy thing for other tragic reasons. |
