So, I don't have a good news link, but basically, Disney just shelled out $4 billion to acquire Marvel. Thoughts?

I vote no.
Art may imitate life, but only propoganda can hide the bodies.

Yeah I heard about this. Doesn't suprise me, I mean what doesn't Disney own. I just can believe that Ralph sol d it so cheap. lol. I guess 4 billion will get you allot of crack.

Anyway - Marvel is the Disney of comics anyway so there won't be much of a change other than better marketing and more money for movies. Possibly more TV spots, crappier toys, and daytime cartoons.

What what I saw it looks like Marvel is still going to be able to run itself (IE - we won't be seeing a Mickey Mouse/Punisher crossover anytime soon) but now they have access to Disney's capital for advertising.

Also, I saw part of an article that said Disney did this to try and improve its standing with boys since all they have had lately is crap like Miley Cyrus and High School Musical for the girls.

For the record, I always saw DC as the Disney.
