Well, were still a ways off from the new site, but I'm just very excited about all the new things we are going to be doing. So here are some teaser movies I whipped up to try and get you as hyped as I am about everything.

HA - You know that makes you excited. And the site really is going to be all of that. Here's just a few of the things that new site will be able to do...

Finally, Better blogs and social networking: The new site will be able to link up to your facebook, twitter, xifire and steam profiles. How cool is that?!? I'll be able to message you guys from the site right into your gaming app. People on the site will be able to see when you are online and what page/game app you are currently running.

Bigger, better personal profile pages. Think your own gaming profile. Sure we have that now, but not like this. These will be customizable pages for you to express yourself and your ideas.

Events board - Much like to prototype board we used on gDNA. Users will be able to set up events with descriptions, and people will be able to actually sign up for the events on the same page. Later we will even offer a bracketing tool for creating your own online ladders for hosting your own online gaming tournaments.

Better Home page - Finally we will have a relevant homepage. With the new software, forums will stream to the homepage, that means real time news, updates. No more once a month or worse. Now updates happen daily and up to the minute with zero effort. Even community members will be able to add to the homepage.

More detailed portal... see the latest posts. See who is in the chat room. See who is online and what page they are on. WIDGETS WIDGETS WIDGETS. The new site will actually have desktop widgets that will work with windows side bar. The new software allows me to bring back the RPGX Newsletter. RPGX LIVE Game-room will go active. (And we're adding a video function to it.)

There is so much going on. Much of it is just a revamp of what we already have, but it will be sleeker, simpler, and more functional than before.

I'm pumped, you should be too.

Well... I'm getting the itch again so I'm going to start doing some updates to the homepage and website. I would like to get some more gamer blogs up on the homepage (Considering I have had the same articles up since mid '09) I'm also interested in getting some clan gaming in now that my gaming rig is working again.

This month I plan on getting some onslaught matches going on Monday and Wed. nights. Also, pretty soon we're going to start playing some Vampire again - The current group is Dix, OG, and Stat with the possibility of guest one shot characters over the course of the game(s). I'd like to do like to schedule those for say last Saturday of the month...

Anyway - Already got some homepage updates going. We are sponsoring a new sister clan as well as getting ours going again. And I'd like to get some more cool articles going.

AND DON'T FORGET - There will be a party in August. Thoughts on games, and everything else will be heard. We have not had a LAN party in quite a while. I would love to see Left4Dead, Battlefield2, Diablo2, or even some Classic Unreal!!!!

Christmas everyone... Be careful on the roads. If you can stay home ... it's bad. We have been stranded at Stat's grandparents house since last night. There is litterally a foot and a half of snow on the ground (comes up to my shin walking through the yard.) The ice on the road is solid. We tried driving home last night and had to turn around and come back because too many cars were stuck up ahead.

Remember if you start to slide or go too fast, don't hit the break and avoid complete stops. You want to gradually slow down and try to ease your way toward the side of the road for traction. Gas makes your tires slip, breaks make them skid, just let your motor slow you down and lightly ease the break. Above all, don't panic.

With the re-birth of the clan (better than the after-birth of the clan) I am directing a new official clan video. I will be taking submissions from your favorite games, so if you want your awesome kills and highlights to make the reel, get them sent in.

So your sitting at home playing your videogames in the dark. You have your headset on, but nobody to talk to. It's a sad story, but a common one. The gamer without a clan. Well, if you rewind about 8 months, some of you might remember a side project taht was going on here at RPGX and gDNA called Digital Darkness. It was the bastard site of RPGX and a pretty spiffy clan site to say the least. While we didn't particularly like gDNA, it was a good website for social networking outside our typical group of Pen/Paper style RPG'ers.

Well if anyone is feeling the need for some team ass-kicking, or even just a little nistalgic for being a part of the old clan, I have great news. As of yesterday the clan has come back, and even better, it's right here on RPGX. Formerly "Digital Darkness" the clan has been renamed simply RPGx (That's with a little x as in "Rx for ass whoopin' ".) Everything is as it was, new name and new site - still loads of fun.

As of about 7:00pm CST last night I started the process of recruiting members. I started with the old and I'm working my way up to the new. A good friend (and an asset to the L4D series) is Burnedwing has already signed up and I look forward to wathing him quickly climb our ranks (yep he's that good.) I can't wait to see who else takes us up on the offer to rejoin.

Some neat new perks to hosting the clan site locally include the addition of STATIC clan servers. At the moment we have three configured for play and they will go live this week. The RPGx Teamspeak server will go live again tonoght and will be followed by the Unreal2k4, BF2, and CoD4 servers.

Joining the clan is as easy as pie. First you must be a member of the RPGX boards. (If your reading this than you have probably already finished the first step.) After that, scroll down tot he clan section of the board (at the bottom) and click "Join the Clan" After that it's a simple matter of signing up for the subgroup and showing up for your "Trial by Fire."

To say the least I'm excited. Tonight I'm going to Pwn some zombies in L4D, tomorrow who knows. But, whatever it is it will be side by side with the awesome team members of the RPGx Multi-Game Clan.

I'm not sure when or if we are having an official Christmas party. If not - this can count as it. But 1/1/10 RPGX will be throwing a LAN/Boardgame party at 8xid's house. All the details can be found HERE.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A PC GAMER TO COME. There will be plenty to do for those who don't want to play PC games - although we should at least get a good amount of people interested in playing.

With the room put back together I have some space, time, and energy to start bringing the site back online. Its going to take some time for me to decide what I want to fill it with, but I have already begun some steps.

For starters I have made a twitter account. I have already integrated it into the portal page. Here I will put quick updates about what is going on with the site - games - and general messages about what's going on. I'm going to try and keep it site related, but I may make it more personal.

I think that as I work on the site I am going to make it more personal - at least at first. I mean it will still be about gaming and such, but I think it will be mostly for my own projects and sharing that. Hope you guys are cool with that - eventually I'll go back to some really in depth news, but right now I'm treating as the home for all my computer and gaming projects - with a personal blog feel to it.

Guess who else just had their terms accepted on a house... We too will be closing on the 30th of this month.
Have to start packing and getting ready now. Yay for us.

Ok, this is not written in stone.
But it's like 80% certain, so I guess its written in seriously sturdy paper using a nice pen.

I should be arriving in Texas sometime toward the end of October. The precise time is unknown, but the goal is to be there before my birthday.

The way its going to work is that after my man passes the final hoop he has to jump through to become an official Minister, we're going to spend a few weeks in his little cabin in the woods so that he can get the vacation he hasn't had in 5 years. AFTER THAT, we'll be heading to Texas, so that he can start looking for a job anywhere in the country. Such job hunting in the UU tradition requires internet connection and good phone reception, which basically means we can't be in the state of Maine to do it, so he'll be hunting from Texas. During that time I'll try to get any meaningless job I can get my hands on, just to pay as much bills as I can with it while we're there. Then when he lands a job, we'll depart, and I'll quit my crap mini-job.

It could take him 3 weeks to find one.
It could take him until APRIL to find one...

Got tired of jacking with the clan crap. Nobody gave a crap anyway so I disbanded the group. Thanks everyone who showed up when they could. RPGX will probably go down soon. I'm tired of jacking with even the thought of that. Really I'm just tired. Pop in once in a while to bitch about how nothing's going on, then not actually help out... I don't care. I'm planning to use the rest of the web space as a place to store files...

I just don't see a point anymore. We don't play. We don't talk. All threads are ending in rhetorical quips of failing wit and I just can't keep it up. I'm not a happy person, I'm a lousy friend and I'm just so tired. So sadly I give up. I will just do my 8:00 - 5:00 and be happy with my 2 hours a day that I get to sit in my recliner and ignore everyone.

Stat and I are totally doing ALLOT of summer cleaning now. Mainly because our jobs have gotten so weird that we are just trying to make some space at the casa to relax a bit more. That and... once we get things wrapped up a bit more we plan on moving. The less useless crap we have, the less that has to be moved. (Also the spare cash could go a long way towards getting things in order.)

So... as we all know, group yard sales (parties) have a much better turn out than individual ones. Is anyone interested in having a group yard sale with us? Not sure on location yet as that might be dependent on who wants in...

Also of note - I have a crap ton of nerdy items that will be going in the sale. Of course I will be happy to give any of you first crack. Dixman2000 scored a pretty nice PS2 light gun off me last year by trading me some of his old throwing daggers. I think we both came away from the trade pretty happy. BTW... I totally miss that gun man.

Okay so I never really left... but it looks like work is starting to even out. (Im still putting in all kinds of overtime) but now I'm getting used to the new schedule as it is becoming more regular. Not to mention I just hired someone that can close the shop for me!!!! SO with a little luck I can start getting out of the shop a little earlier. (Now maybe if my raise will kick in I can finally move into a new place.)

So first things first. Goign to try and get some projects wrapped up. I already revampped the LGR GUI last night and sent it to Jester. Hopefully iin a few weeks I will be able to get over to his house to start working on the alpha testing on the new setup.

Also going to pick up where I left off on the RPGX System demo AGAIN!!!!! I know it just keeps dragging.
Right now I'm mostly writing fluff. The thing is the system works, it's there, and it's stuck in my head. I have lost my knack for writing, but I'm going to sit down and try to get it back. Starting today... going to try and crank out all the dry rules and charts tonight. Then fill in the holes. Might work better.

Finally, I'm going to be wiping the homepage. Not the tmplate, just the content. The old news and stuff is going away and going to be blank until I have something to fill the site with (our products.) After I have finished the LGR, and the core demo PDF we will bring back the news... at that time we will fill it with more things about what WE are doing. SO don't panic when your homepage looks funky and blank.

Lastly... If I have ANY free time after all of that. I am writing a novel. When I was working with Craig making films I wrote this really awesome screen play thats just sitting around collecting dust. I'm going to adapt it to a novel and send it off just to see what happens. It's true I could publish myself but then I would have to pay for printing.... lol. Would like to MAKE money for a change... who knows someone might actually like my story. LOL.

Anyway, I'm in a good mood, relaxed for a change. Thought I would give a little update on what was going on with me. Really exited about the party next weekend. Looks like allot of people are going to show. I invited some friends from work that are cool enough. Going to buy a new tent (our sister destroyed the one we loaned her.) But I'm stoked about this cook out. Bringing the guitar, Dix is bringing the Harmonica... can't wait to jam.

Yay me... Making some money on the side building a custom gaming laptop for someone at work.
